RUPTECH LIMITED, based in Ghana, has received ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its information security management system (ISMS) from Pacific Certifications.
The certified ISMS covers the governance, technical infrastructure, operational systems, and processes supporting software solution design, development, and implementation.
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 specifies requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an ISMS. It requires organizations to assess and treat information security risks, select necessary controls and review system performance. These requirements support the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information within the defined scope.
For RUPTECH LIMITED, the scope connects information security governance with the infrastructure and operational processes supporting software delivery. The standard provides a way to review risks across these activities and assign responsibilities for handling information. It also requires organizations to evaluate performance and address identified weaknesses through corrective action.
Pacific Certifications issued the certification following an independent assessment of the documented ISMS and its implementation. The process included review of audit evidence and a certification decision. For RUPTECH LIMITED, the certification concerns conformity with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 requirements within the certified scope.
RUPTECH LIMITED needs to review its ISMS regularly to keep it effective. Internal audits, management reviews and risk reviews help identify problems and improve controls, while corrective actions address the causes of those problems. Surveillance and recertification audits independently check whether the system continues to meet certification requirements for the activities covered by the certificate.
