    Welcome To Pacific Certifications!

    ISO 657 Hot-rolled steel sections

ISO 657-1 was created by Technical Committee ISO/TC 17, Steel. It canceled and replaced ISO Recommendation R 657-1: 1968, of which it constitutes a technical revision.

ISO 657 consists of the following parts, under the general title Hot-rolled steel sections:
    — Part 1: Equal-leg angles — Dimensions
ISO 657-1:1989 (EN) first revision as an International Standard constitutes a technical revision of ISO Recommendation R 657-1:1968. ISO 657 consists of 21 parts integrated into any shape of sections. ISO 657-1 specifies dimensions of hot-rolled equal-leg angles

    — ISO 657-2:1989(EN) Hot-rolled steel sections — Part 2: Unequal-leg angles — Dimensions
ISO 657-2:1989 (EN) specifies dimensions of hot-rolled unequal leg angles.

    — ISO 657-5:1976(EN) Hot-rolled steel sections — Part 5: Equal-leg angles and unequal-leg angles — Tolerances for metric and inch series
ISO 657-5:1976 defines metric and inch dimensional tolerances applicable to hot-rolled steel angles having either equal or unequal leg lengths in accordance with the metric dimensions of ISO/R 657/I and ISO/R 657/II or the inch dimensions of ISO/R 657/III and ISO/R 657/IV

    — ISO 657-11:1980(EN) Hot-rolled steel sections — Part 11: Sloping flange channel sections (Metric series) — Dimensions and sectional properties
ISO 657 defines dimensions and sectional properties of metric series hot-rolled steel sloping flange channel sections.

    — ISO 657-13:1981 (EN) Hot-rolled steel sections — Part 13: Tolerances on sloping flange beam, column and channel sections
ISO 657-13 Defines tolerances for the thickness of the web and the flanges along with a higher mass tolerance given in table 8, column 3 (symbol D for dimensional tolerance), or b) where no tolerances are specified for the thickness of the web and the flanges, tighter mass tolerances given in a table 8, column 2, are applicable (symbol M for mass tolerance).

    — ISO 657-15:1980(EN) Hot-rolled steel sections — Part 15: Sloping flange beam sections (Metric series) — Dimensions and sectional properties
ISO 657-15:1980 specifies dimensions and sectional properties of metric series hot-rolled steel sloping flange beam sections.

    — ISO 657-16:1980(EN) Hot-rolled steel sections — Part 16: Sloping flange column sections (metric series) — Dimensions and sectional properties
ISO 657-16 shares the designation of sloping flange column sections in an example and the dimensions and sectional properties in a figure and a table

    — ISO 657-18:1980 (EN) Hot-rolled steel sections — Part 18: L sections for shipbuilding (metric series) — Dimensions, sectional properties and tolerances
ISO 657-18 shares the designation of L sections and the dimensions and sectional properties in a figure and a table. Includes tolerances on height of web and width of flange, on web thickness, on flange thickness as well as the maximum permissible camber, the out-of-square, the tolerances on flatness and on length.

ISO 657-19:1980(EN) Hot-rolled steel sections — Part 19: Bulb flats (metric series) — Dimensions, sectional properties and tolerances
ISO 657-19:1980 shares dimensions, sectional properties and dimensional tolerances for metric series hot-rolled steel bulb flats.
    — ISO 657-21:1983(EN) Hot-rolled steel sections — Part 21: T-sections with equal depth and flange width — Dimensions
ISO 657-21:1983 shares the dimensions of the hot-rolled tee sections with equal depth and flange width.
